The administration of an estate can be challenging for those left to deal with the estate of someone who has passed, especially if the deceased did not leave a Will. Usually, the personal representative of the deceased has limited or no experience administering an estate and may be unaware of the extent of his or her responsibilities or the personal liability that may arise if those responsibilities are not carried out in a proper and timely manner. In addition to navigating a myriad of tasks, the personal representative is also grieving the loss of a loved one.

Our primary services in this area include:

  • advising executors, trustees and administrators of their duties and the administration process
  • drafting and submission of application for probate or administration to Court
  • advising and assisting with the passing of accounts and the distribution of assets
